WATCH: Bystanders stop suspect from robbing elderly man at Tucson restaurant

Bystanders intervened when a man allegedly tried to rob a 70-year-old at a fast food restaurant near Oracle and Prince roads in Tucson on July 9.
Police said the 34-year-old suspect followed the man inside and tried to take a backpack attached to his walker. During the struggle, the victim fell to the ground. Two men rushed over, and the suspect dropped the backpack before running away.
The witnesses helped the victim gather his belongings and provided police with a description of the suspect. Officers found him within minutes and arrested him. He was booked into jail on suspicion of attempted robbery. His name was not released.
The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by emergency crews. Tucson police thanked the bystanders for stepping in and helping officers locate the suspect.
