Walden Grove High School library renovation opens ahead of first day of school Monday

Walden Grove High School’s renovated library will open Monday, ahead of the first day of classes. The $400,000 project added new desks, chairs and cubicles.

The work was funded through the Sahuarita School District’s $50 million bond package, approved by voters in November 2023. A similar renovation was completed at Sahuarita High School.

School leaders said the project was designed to create a more modern and welcoming space while keeping the traditional feel of a library and supporting students’ love of reading.

The district plans to renovate libraries at its middle schools next, followed by its elementary schools.
