UPDATE: PCSD confirms identity of body found near Tucson Mountain Baptist Church

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department identified the person found dead Sunday near Tucson Mountain Baptist Church as 66-year-old Debra Esarey.

Deputies were called to the area near Ajo Highway shortly before noon. Esarey’s family had reported her missing several days earlier.

PCSD said it does not believe the death was suspicious. The Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner is determining the cause of death. Initial reports had incorrectly identified the person as a man.
