Tucson police seek tips in 1982 killing

Tucson police are asking for information about the unsolved 1982 killing of Jeanne Overstreet, who was 19 at the time.

Overstreet disappeared in September 1982 while reportedly hitchhiking to meet someone for lunch near North Stone Avenue and West University Boulevard.

Skeletal remains found in a remote area of Pinal County in November 1983 were identified as Overstreet’s by the Pima County Medical Examiner’s Office in 2012. Anyone with information can contact the anonymous 88-CRIME tip line.
