Tucson Now: Addie Swallow’s plan for Senate District 19

Aiden “Addie” Swallow is running for the Arizona Senate in District 19 after initially campaigning for a U.S. House seat. Swallow said the Senate race would allow her to focus on needs in her own community.

Swallow is a U.S. Army intelligence veteran who served for 20 years. She pointed to her experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets, working through detailed information and handling difficult situations.

Her campaign priorities include keeping data centers out of Arizona and protecting the state’s water supply. Swallow also supports a tax on Arizona’s wealthiest residents to fund Arizona SHIELD, a health care safety net for people without coverage.
