Friday, July 24, 2026 · Reported by KGUN 9 Local News

A former finance manager at a Tucson church is facing felony charges after investigators accused her of taking about $335,000 in church funds over five years.

The Pima County Sheriff's Department said its Fraud Unit arrested 61-year-old Tracey Lynn Jorgensen on Wednesday.

Board members at GracePointe Church reported Jorgensen in April 2025, alleging that she misused church money while working in a finance management position.

Detectives said a yearlong investigation, which included subpoenaed bank records, found that about $335,000 was taken between 2020 and 2025. Jorgensen was booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex on charges of fraudulent schemes and felonious theft.
