Triple-digit heat and daily storm chances continue across Southern Arizona

Saturday, July 25, 2026 · Reported by KGUN 9

Triple-digit temperatures are expected to continue across Southern Arizona through the next week, along with daily chances for afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.

Tucson is forecast to reach about 106 degrees Sunday, while lower-elevation communities including Ajo, Santa Rosa and Willcox are also expected to hit at least 100 degrees.

Overnight temperatures will stay warm. Tucson is expected to start Sunday near 82 degrees, while Sierra Vista could see a low around 72. Other Southern Arizona communities are forecast to fall between those temperatures.

Residents should be prepared for afternoon and evening thunderstorms each day through the coming week, even as the heat continues.
