Santa Cruz County launches donation drive to help flood victims in Nogales, Sonora

Santa Cruz County is collecting supplies for families in Nogales, Sonora, after heavy rains caused flooding, damaged homes and left residents without basic necessities.

The county’s Office of Emergency Management is asking for new, unopened cleaning supplies, including mops, brooms, gloves, soap and bleach. Baby items such as diapers, formula, blankets and wipes are also needed, along with packaged snacks like chips, cookies and crackers.

Donations will be accepted through Friday, July 31, at the Santa Cruz County Complex, Office of Emergency Management, 2150 N. Congress Drive, Suite 110, and the Board of Supervisors Office at Suite 119. Cash donations will not be accepted.
