Pima County reviews thousands of responses as 30-year transportation plan moves toward final vision

Pima County is reviewing about 6,000 comments as it develops Moving Pima, its first master transportation plan. The plan will guide transportation improvements in unincorporated areas over the next 30 years.

Focus areas include Green Valley, Vail and Three Points. County officials are reviewing residents’ priorities for streets, roads and sidewalks before deciding which projects should move forward.

Residents have raised concerns about crashes at intersections and difficult travel areas, including Pantano Road and Sarnoff Drive. The plan does not yet have a set budget. Funding decisions will come after the county identifies its long-term priorities.

Pima County hopes to complete the plan by next summer. Residents can still share feedback through the county’s online survey until the end of July.
