Mobile home fire displaces two residents, kills two dogs in Tucson

Two residents were displaced after a fire Wednesday morning at a mobile home in the 1600 block of West Fort Lowell Road, near North Flowing Wells Road, the Tucson Fire Department said.

Fire crews were dispatched at 11:19 a.m. Engine 8 arrived four minutes later and found smoke coming from the double-wide home. The fire was contained before it could spread to nearby homes.

Firefighters rescued two dogs and a cat, but two other dogs died. The fire was under control by 11:42 a.m., and no injuries were reported. Ten units responded, including crews from Northwest Fire. The cause remains under investigation.
