Marana police officer involved in 2-vehicle crash

A Marana Police Department officer was involved in a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning near Ajo Way and Camino de Oeste.

Police said the collision happened around 6 a.m. as the officer was traveling to a community event. She was taken to a hospital for evaluation and later released.

The officer was not seriously injured, according to police. Her name has not been released.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
