Man struck by vehicle in Midtown dies in hospital

Tucson police identified 55-year-old Michael Shawn McNeal as the man who died after being struck by a vehicle in Midtown.

Police said McNeal was crossing Broadway near South Cherry Avenue on June 29 when an eastbound vehicle hit him. He was using a mobility walker and was crossing outside a crosswalk.

McNeal was taken to a hospital and died from his injuries on July 9. The driver left the scene, and the vehicle has not been found. Anyone with information can call 911 or 88-CRIME.
