Thursday, July 30, 2026 · Reported by KVOA
Antonio Johnson, 59, is in jail after being accused of setting two fires at a Tucson non-denominational church.
Johnson appeared in court Wednesday morning. Court documents say surveillance video showed a man matching his description throwing a burning substance at the church’s front door. A second fire was found at the back of the building.
The church was empty when the fires were set. Damage is estimated at more than $1,000.
