Just breathe: 'Respiro' wellness event ready to greet new community

Saturday, July 25, 2026 · Reported by KGUN 9 Local News

Respiro will return Sunday evening for its eighth edition, bringing movement, meditation and community wellness to the Presidio San Agustín del Tucson Museum in downtown Tucson. The event runs from 7 to 10 p.m.

The museum’s historic courtyard and patios will host activities including movement classes, meditation, sound healing and other wellness practices. Local vendors will also be part of the gathering, which organizers say is designed to make wellness welcoming to people of different ages and abilities.

Respiro’s name refers to taking a breath or taking a break. Organizers say the event encourages people to slow down, care for themselves and connect with others.

The Presidio is a reconstructed portion of the Spanish fort established in 1775 and is considered the birthplace of modern Tucson. Most activities will be outdoors, while attendees can also visit BrandyLion, the cocktail lounge next to the museum, for alcoholic, nonalcoholic and other drink options.
