Hustlers Roost opens in Douglas to help side hustlers launch small businesses
Thursday, August 6, 2026 · Reported by KGUN 9 Local News
Hustlers Roost, a new community space on G Avenue in downtown Douglas, is helping local entrepreneurs sell handmade and homegrown products while building their small businesses.
The space offers workshops and other resources to help residents register their businesses and learn how to grow them. Organizers say many people in Douglas already run small, often home-based businesses, but may not be using the benefits available to registered businesses.
Whitney Yang, executive director of the Bambi Fund, said Hustlers Roost is also part of an effort to bring more activity to downtown Douglas. Organizers hope business growth will lead to more local jobs.
Beginning next week, Hustlers Roost will be open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon and 5 to 8 p.m. Its full programming schedule is available on the organization’s website.
