Free breakfast and lunch return for all Tucson Unified School District students this school year

Tucson Unified School District students can receive one free breakfast and one free lunch each school day at all 87 district schools this year.

The meals are provided through the federal Community Eligibility Provision, part of the National School Lunch Program. TUSD is in its third year using the program, and families do not need to complete paperwork for students to receive meals.

TUSD’s participation is approved through a four year cycle, allowing the district to continue offering the meals this school year and next school year. School menus and food service information are available on the district’s website.

Students who stay on campus after school may also be eligible for a free “super snack.” TUSD Family Resource Centers offer food pantries for families needing additional help outside school hours.
