Free Backpacks, School Supplies Available At Tucson Back-To-School Event

Tucson Unified School District families can pick up free backpacks and school supplies at the district’s IMPACT Tucson event on Saturday, July 25. The event will run from 10 a.m. to noon at four Family Resource Centers, with supplies available while they last. No registration is required.

Families can also visit a resource fair, meet district staff and community organizations, and get help with school enrollment. Enrollment ambassadors will assist with last-minute registration, including for children who are not yet enrolled in a TUSD school.

The event will be held at the Family Resource Center closest to each family:

Catalina, 3645 E. Pima St. Palo Verde, 1302 S. Avenida Vega Menlo, 1100 W. Fresno St. Southwest, 6855 S. Mark Rd.

Families should check in at the entrance and provide their children’s names and TUSD schools. The event is hosted by TUSD’s Family and Community Engagement Department and its Family Resource Centers.
