Saturday, August 1, 2026 · Reported by KGUN 9

An Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect through Monday as Tucson temperatures approach 110 degrees. Sunday’s high is expected to reach about 109 degrees, with overnight temperatures staying unusually warm.

Tucson could start Sunday near 82 degrees, while many communities in Pima County remain in the 80s overnight. Highs across Southern Arizona are expected to stay 8 to 15 degrees above normal through Monday.

Storm chances should increase Sunday afternoon and evening, especially east of Tucson. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to become more widespread across Southern Arizona next week as a more active weather pattern develops.

Temperatures are expected to gradually ease later in the week. In Cochise County, Sierra Vista is forecast to range from about 72 degrees overnight to 97 degrees Sunday afternoon.
