Eight displaced as fire decimates mobile home on Southside
Friday, July 24, 2026 · Reported by KGUN 9 Local News
Smoke from a mobile home fire on Tucson’s Southside was visible from miles away Friday afternoon.
Tucson Fire crews were sent to the 1000 block of East Ginter Road, near South Park and East Valencia, around 12:37 p.m. They found a single-wide mobile home fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters faced a leaking propane tank, exploding tires and a large amount of belongings inside the home and across the yard. Flames reached a neighboring yard, but crews kept the fire from spreading to that home.
One person was hurt and treated at the scene. Eight residents from both homes were displaced, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
