Dealer's arsenal: TPD seize 10 guns, cash and hundreds of fentanyl pills in crackdown

A monthlong Tucson Police Department investigation into a suspected drug dealer along the Craycroft Road corridor led to searches of a residence, motel room and vehicles. Detectives identified a local motel as the suspect’s operating area and obtained warrants for the searches.

Officers from TPD’s Eastside Community Response Team, Midtown Community Response Team and K9 Unit carried out the operation. Police said they recovered 10 firearms, including a stolen AR-15-style pistol, along with cash, ammunition and multiple bags of suspected narcotics.

The suspect reportedly tried to run but was arrested after a brief foot pursuit. Police said the person faces numerous felony charges, but the suspect’s identity and the exact number of charges were not released.

TPD said the investigation is still underway and highlighted cooperation among its specialized units in addressing drug trafficking and illegal firearms.
