Big fentanyl bust: Border Patrol seizes 140,000 pills

U.S. Border Patrol agents in the Tucson Sector say they seized 140,000 fentanyl pills in a coordinated operation involving the Border Patrol Tactical Unit, known as BORTAC, and intelligence units.

The agency said the operation focused on stopping narcotics trafficking before the pills could reach communities in the United States. The seizure was announced in a social media post.

Border Patrol has not released information about when or where the seizure happened. The agency also has not said whether anyone was arrested or provided an estimated street value for the drugs.
