The University of Arizona brought together former Wildcats and current UA staff members involved in the NBA Summer League for a group photo outside Thomas Mack Arena in Las Vegas.
The group included Phoenix Suns assistant coach Jesse Mermuys, New York Knicks assistant coach Riccardo Fois, Philadelphia 76ers assistant coach Matt Brase and Rio Grande Valley G League head coach Joseph Blair. UA staff members and assistant coaches TJ Benson, BJ Burries, Ken Nakagawa and Przemek Karnowski also attended.
Former Arizona players Keshad Johnson, Caleb Love, Carter Bryant, Brayden Burries, Anthony Dell'Orso and Jaden Bradley were part of the photo as well. The Arizona Basketball account shared the image on X, and several other people in the photo were not identified.
One Summer League performance that stood out was former Arizona power forward Tobe Awaka grabbing nine rebounds in 17 minutes for the Chicago Bulls against Utah.
