Another former Tucson school site to become homes

Saturday, July 25, 2026 · Reported by Arizona Daily Star

KB Home bought the former Carson Middle School property at 7777 E. Stella Road for $4.3 million, according to Pima County Recorder’s Office records. The company plans to build 99 single-story homes there.

The development, called Reserves at Carson Corner, will include houses ranging from 850 to 1,760 square feet. Prices and floor plans have not been released.

The school closed in 2013, and demolition is underway. Grading and underground utility work are expected to begin next.

KB Home expects model homes to open in spring 2027, with the first homes delivered in late summer. The design and shared areas will recognize the site’s history, and a homeowners association will manage those common spaces.
