1 Hurt, 8 Displaced As Fire Tears Through Tucson Mobile Home

A fire destroyed a mobile home Friday in the 1000 block of East Ginter Road in Tucson, injuring one person and displacing eight residents from two properties.

Firefighters arrived less than three minutes after the call and found the single-wide home fully engulfed. Fourteen fire units responded as flames moved toward a neighboring property.

Crews kept the fire from reaching the second home, but items in its yard were destroyed. Firefighters also dealt with a leaking propane tank, exploding tires and a large amount of belongings inside the mobile home and across the yard.

One person was treated at the scene. Tucson Fire has not released the person’s identity or injury details. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
