About The Jackrabbit Lounge
The Jackrabbit Lounge is a retro-inspired lounge in Tucson's historic south end of Oracle, offering crafted cocktails, shareable plates, entertainment, and a place to settle in as the evening gets going. The 21-and-over establishment describes itself as a den where nocturnal creatures come out to play. Its atmosphere is built around comfortable vibes, late-night food and drink, and a schedule that brings different kinds of entertainment throughout the week.
The lounge's drink program includes classic elevated cocktails, fancy highballs, and 25 taps. Its menu centers on shareable plates, giving guests options to enjoy alongside a drink or while spending time with a group. The Jackrabbit Lounge also caters to late-night hunger, with kitchen service extending into the evening. The website notes that the lounge can also provide a full cheesecake for a special event, subject to availability and details arranged in advance.
Entertainment is a regular part of the Jackrabbit experience. The lounge hosts live music, karaoke, and other nightly events, along with monthly discos and variety acts. Its recurring programming includes SPKR Karaoke every Thursday at 9 p.m. The events page and weekly specials are the place to check for the current schedule, since the lineup can vary. Dancing is also part of the lounge's offering, adding another way for the space to shift from a place for cocktails and food into a livelier nighttime setting.
The Jackrabbit Lounge grew out of an earlier idea. In 2018, its founders were planning to launch what they called the first Nocturnal Creatures Lounge. An unforeseen building fire put that plan on hold, but the setback led to the creation of The Jackrabbit Lounge instead. The resulting concept brought together the retro style, cocktails, shareable plates, and entertainment that now define the Tucson venue. The business's description speaks to people drawn to night lights and bright desert stars, carefully made cocktails, late-night food, or the simple combination of a shot and a beer.
The lounge is open every day and welcomes guests from 4 p.m. until 2 a.m., with kitchen service running until 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until midnight on Friday and Saturday. Guests planning a happy hour, holiday party, or special event can contact the lounge to ask about availability and details. The Jackrabbit Lounge also offers a rewards program, including a 25-point welcome bonus and a $5 reward for every 50 points. As a Tucson nightlife destination, it brings together drinks, food, music, karaoke, and dancing in a retro setting on Oracle Road.
