About Regole Design
Regole Design is a Tucson graphic design studio focused on visual communications for print and web. The company describes its work as a way to help clients address marketing challenges, build recognizable brands, and give messages a clear voice and personality. Its stated approach is grounded in quality, responsive client service, and design intended to reach an audience and encourage a response. Regole Design has been creating graphic design since 1989.
The studio's services cover a broad range of printed and digital materials. Regole Design can help with logos, business cards, posters, flyers, brochures, advertisements, catalogs, book covers, digital ads, social media graphics, email marketing, signage, and websites. The company also invites clients to ask about specific projects that may not appear on its standard services list. Its portfolio is organized around logos, print projects, and websites, showing work created for organizations and businesses in Tucson, throughout Arizona, and beyond.
Examples in the portfolio include branding, print, and web projects for the Tucson Rodeo, the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, the University of Arizona College of Education, the Tucson International Airport, the City of Douglas, Arizona, and the Green Valley Sahuarita Chamber of Commerce. Other featured clients and projects include COPE Community Services, Covenant House of Tucson, Flowing Wells Unified School District, the Postal History Foundation, the Tucson Pops Orchestra, the Tucson American Marketing Association, and the Greater Arizona Bicycling Association. The collection also includes work for restaurants, real estate companies, educational organizations, nonprofits, professional services, and individual businesses.
Regole Design was opened by Don Regole in 1989. Don graduated from Arizona State University in 1983 and began his career in Los Angeles, where his clients included Universal Studios, Columbia Pictures, and Playboy. He later worked as an art director for an advertising agency with offices in Phoenix and Tucson before establishing his own studio. His work has received more than 60 local and regional ADDY awards, along with recognition in national design publications. It has also been exhibited in the Smithsonian National Postal Museum. In 1997, the Tucson Advertising Federation named him Tucson Advertising Professional of the Year.
The studio's team also includes Michael Frans, a web and graphic designer who has worked in the creative field since 1995. A graduate of The Art Center Design College, Frans contributes to graphic design, production, client service, and support. His specialty is web design and development, from initial layouts through final code, and the site notes his attention to technology, user interactivity, and web trends. Regole Design works with clients in Tucson and with clients farther away, describing its relationships with both longtime and new clients as an important part of its practice. Projects begin with an estimate tailored to the type of work, timeline, and resources required, since the studio bills by the hour and each project differs in scope.
