Oro Valley Archery Range gives target-shooting archers a place to practice and hike through an outdoor course at Naranja Park in Oro Valley. The facility includes a walking course for target shooting as well as a 3D hiking shoot, combining archery with time on the trail. It is part of the Town of Oro Valley's parks and recreation offerings and is listed as an outdoor park suitable for sports competitions.
The range has two static ranges, including one measured in yards and another measured in meters. It also offers two 14-target walking courses for those who want to move between targets rather than remain at a fixed shooting line. The walking setup adds a hiking component to the experience, while the static ranges provide dedicated spaces for target shooting. Trail hiking is included among the facility features, along with archery, parking, a ramada, restrooms, and accessibility.
A range of archery equipment is permitted. Visitors may use compound bows, crossbows, and traditional archery equipment, although the facility allows field tips only. Broadheads are not allowed. No rental equipment is available, so participants need to bring the equipment they plan to use. All ages are welcome at the archery course, with staff requesting that anyone younger than 16 be accompanied by an adult. Children 8 or younger may use the range free when accompanied by a paying adult.
The Town offers both drop-in use and archery memberships. A daily-use fee can be paid online before shooting or at the range by scanning the posted QR code. Memberships are available for Oro Valley residents and non-residents, with adult, youth, and family options. Family memberships are for people in the same household. Memberships can be purchased online through playov.com or through the Oro Valley Parks and Recreation office. These options give regular users another way to access the range beyond individual visits.
The range is open seven days a week from sunrise, or 6:00 a.m. when that is later, until sunset. Visitors should watch for seasonal archery events, which may add scheduled activities to the regular range experience. Getting started involves choosing drop-in use or a membership, bringing approved archery equipment, and observing the course and safety requirements. Located in Oro Valley and serving both residents and non-residents, the range offers a southern Arizona setting for fixed-range practice, walking-course shooting, and outdoor archery.
