About Gospel Rescue Mission

Gospel Rescue Mission Center of Opportunity is a Tucson community resource serving men, women, and families experiencing homelessness. Through emergency shelter, recovery services, workforce development, housing support, and outreach, the organization works to help people move from homelessness to what it describes as wholeness. Its approach centers on love, grace, dignity, and respect, with care intended to address both immediate needs and the longer process of rebuilding stability.

The mission's emergency shelter and guest services offer more than a safe place to sleep. Guests may receive nutritious meals, clothing, showers, hygiene services, and compassionate support while building relationships with staff and others who can help them pursue recovery, employment, housing, and long-term stability. Gospel Rescue Mission also operates outreach efforts that include community outreach, a mobile kitchen, and a mobile closet. Its Center of Opportunity is described as a collaborative campus of care, where community partners work side by side to restore hope and transform lives. The mission says it works with more than 50 community partners and identifies itself as Southern Arizona's largest provider of emergency shelter and life-transformation services. The organization has served the community since 1953 and is independently funded.
