Face the Fight began in 2013, after founder and esthetician SkyLee Nicole Edmiston experienced a moment that shaped her work. While she was in esthetics school, her son's grandmother stopped receiving facials during cancer treatment because she was unsure whether the services were safe. In response, Edmiston completed 80 hours of specialized oncology esthetics training. She later became Tucson's only esthetician with oncology-specific training accredited by Oncology Training International, according to the spa. Her personal connection to cancer deepened after losing both her mother and grandmother to the disease, strengthening her commitment to creating a safe and supportive space for people with sensitive or compromised skin.
The spa's skin rituals range from an Oncology Skin Treatment and a 30 Minute Express Facial to 60- and 90-Minute Sound Bath Facials. Advanced options include Microneedling Elevated, Nano Infusion, Plasma Fibroblast, Skin Irregularity Removal, and SkinBetter Peels. Add-ons such as Eye and Lip Treatments and the Afterglow Experience provide additional care. Face the Fight also combines skincare with sound healing, aromatherapy, temperature therapy, and feng shui. Its sound bath facials are intended to ease tension in the skin and spirit, while the oncology services use gentle, non-toxic products for sensitive skin.
