Caridad Community Kitchen is a Tucson community resource operated through the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. Caridad Community Kitchen is part of the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, whose roots reach back to the Food Action Coalition of Tucson in 1975. The food bank now works with more than 400 organizations across five counties of Southern Arizona and offers programs that include emergency food assistance, free meals, farmers' markets, community gardens, nutrition education, culinary training, support for local growers and food systems, and advocacy. Its stated mission is to address the root causes of hunger while restoring dignity, health, opportunity, and hope to people living in poverty.
