Bouman earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan in 1995 and his law doctorate degree from the University of Arizona in 2000. During law school, he joined a prominent Tucson law firm, advancing from research clerk to associate attorney and then partner in less than four years. In 2005, he established Bouman Law Firm. He joined the State Bar of Arizona in 2000 and is a member of the Southern Arizona Estate Planning Council. He is also the author of the Arizona Estate Administration Answer Book.
